FJ40 1969 Land Cruiser

This project is a fully body-off restoration and EV conversion of a 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. The original vehicle has only 57,000 original miles and hardly any rust. The EVSwap conversion will bring this FJ40 into the future with tons of power and modern features. The truck will be true to the original with some small upgrades here and there for drivability and safety, but without modifying the body or chassis to retain it’s originality. The vehicle has been completely stripped and the chassis and axles have been sandblasted and powdercoated.

The specs include:

  • 300hp (225kw) Tesla Model 3 electric motor

  • 310 ft-lbs torque

  • 80kwh high voltage liquid cooled battery

  • 200+ miles range

  • Full time AWD with limited slip differentials and traction control

  • 4-wheel Wilwood Disc Brakes

  • Fully electric AC and heater

  • Cruise Control

  • No modification to the original body or frame
