Toyota Landcruiser Leaf Conversion

The electric EVSwap Land Cruiser parked atop Imogene Pass, Ouray, Colorado

The EV Swapped Toyota Landcruiser is a trail blazing monster! The idea started simply enough - to convert a Toyota Land Cruiser to Electric by ditching the Inline-6 in favor of a salvaged Nissan Leaf Motor and battery pack. The end result is a daily driver and one of a kind ride with amazing 4x4 performance!

The final specs include:

  • 100 HP (80kw) electric motor

  • 187ft-lbs torque

  • 30kwh lithium high voltage battery

  • 80 miles max range

  • Chademo fast charging

  • Full time solid axle 4x4 with rear locking differential and low range transfer case

  • Power brakes, ABS, and electric power steering

  • Warn 10,000 lbs electric winch

  • Gamiviti Roof Rack with Solar Charging

  • 33” Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires

  • Old Man Emu 4” suspension lift

This is the first EVSwap vehicle to take to the roads. It was built to tackle the hardest offroad obstacles and so far nothing has been able to stop it. It has climbed 12,000 ft mountain passes and conquered Moab’s Hell’s Gate obstacle. Participated in Ice Races on a frozen lake and recovered stuck vehicles with winch and straps. This EV converted Land Cruiser is truly a 4x4 beast!

Here are a few pictures of the EV Offroad Adventures we have had!
